As the Catholic group Firmes en Cristo, we believe that Colombia needs leaders who defend truth, justice, and human dignity.
In Abelardo de la Espriella — El Tigre — we recognize qualities that deeply resonate with our mission of faith and with our commitment to Christian values.


Throughout his public life, he has proven to be a brave defender of institutions, someone who confronts corruption, upholds the rule of law, and speaks with moral clarity when many choose silence. His dedication to freedom, family, and the protection of fundamental values aligns with the principles we strive to live and promote.

What stands out most to us is his firm and loyal love for Colombia — a love that inspires others to defend the nation with conviction and hope. He speaks with honesty, acts with determination, and carries himself with the conviction that our country can — and must — remain free, prosperous, and sovereign. Despite those who have ridiculed or slandered him, he humbly acknowledges that he is not a perfect man, yet he remains determined to place his talents at the service of Colombia’s prosperity and the well‑being of its people. For many of us, he symbolizes the strength needed to withstand the pressures that, in various countries, have led to instability and marked ideological radicalization.


In times of uncertainty, El Tigre has become, for many families of faith, a voice of order, courage, and national dignity. We in Firmes en Cristo, together with those who value his leadership, recognize him as a defender of families, of entrepreneurs, of democratic principles, and of the moral values that have sustained Colombia throughout its history.

A Prayer for Colombia

Lord Jesus Christ, we ask You to enlighten Colombia in this decisive time. Pour out Your grace upon our nation, guide our people with wisdom, and grant that the next leader may be a man of integrity, courage, a defender of justice, of freedom, and of the Christian values that sustain our families. We place Colombia under the protection of Your Sacred Heart, so that His love and the light of His teachings may accompany our homeland and lead it along paths of peace, prosperity, and hope. May Your will prevail, may You lead us all to holiness, and may our country remain always under Your care.
